Responsible Disposal of Wood Furniture, Cardboard & Metal

Any unusable wood that we recover is reduced into usable materials. Cardboard is also picked up in bundles and repurposed. Metal components are recycled at local scrap yards. The benefits of doing this helps offset the environmental impact associated with the extraction and consumption of virgin resources and production of new materials and conserve landfill space.

 

Sustainable Cleaning Products

When the decommission process is complete, we guarantee a clean, empty building completed on time, and hassle free! All floors are swept and vacuumed, and any miscellaneous trash is disposed of. We promise to leave our job sites in pristine condition, so our customers have minimal work at the conclusion of their lease or sale of their building.

 

Any reusable furniture we obtain is then cleaned using Simple Green products. These products carry the Safer Choice Label which means that EPA’s scientific review team evaluated every ingredient for potential human health and environmental effects. Safer Choice products do not contain known chemicals of potential concern, like carcinogens, reproductive or developmental toxins. All product components, like dyes and fragrances, are screened for safety.

 

Liquidation Requirements

Last, please note that we have certain specifications when accepting liquidations. To start, we only purchase office furniture that is less than ten years old, available in large quantities, in good condition and made by high-end office furniture manufacturers. Examples of these manufactures include Steelcase, Haworth, Herman Miller, Knoll, and Kimball. We do not purchase office furniture manufactured by HON, Staples, Office Depot, Wayfair, or Ikea. Large quantities are defined by 20 or more of the same case good (desk, file, etc.) and 50 or more of the same chairs. However, we have a few exceptions to the quantity requirement. This includes high-end seating such as Herman Miller Aerons, Steelcase Leap V2s, Steelcase Amias, and Steelcase Thinks. If these chairs are in good condition and close to Connecticut, then we may purchase them in smaller quantities.

Bulk Corporate Liquidations Offered Nationwide

Transfer Enterprises offers corporate liquidations nationwide. Most of our decommissions completed out-of-state are for office spaces starting at 50,000 square feet. If you would like to request a liquidation outside of Connecticut, then we ask you to please provide 60 days advance notice. This gives our team enough time to coordinate travel arrangements, trucking, and trailers for our team.
